The hairlock necklace first appeared in the Maison's AW1995 collection under Martin Margiela himself. A length of hair, a cord, a steel ring. Materials with no business being luxury, which was exactly the point. The 2012 H&M re-edition brought the object to a wider audience. Original box present.
