A featherweight long-sleeve top from Nicolas Ghesquière’s Balenciaga, c. 2007. This was his late, most refined period at the house, just after the celebrated Fall / Winter 2006, now mainstream reference, collection. Rendered in a pale butter yellow, in the fine wool-modal-nylon jersey Ghesquière was known for: a true “second skin” ; considered barely-there, semi-sheer, and impossibly light. The knit is so fine the interior labels reads faintly through the body which tells you everything about the hand of the fabric.
Carries the woven BALENCIAGA.PARIS neck label of the era. Made in Portugal.
